ePIPE® LeadSmart™ Technology – Taking on the Lead Pipe Challenge

The ePIPE LeadSmart solution involves lining the inside of pipes with a protective barrier coating in order to reduce lead leaching into drinking water to below the EPA cutoff level of 15ppb, and WHO cutoff level of 10ppb . This is completed, while the pipe(s) remain “in-place”.

For service supply pipes, this can be completed from the inside of the building to the curb stop and onward to the water main connection. Typically no excavation is required on the customer’s property, resulting in minimal negative impact to the customer.
