Dealing with lead (Pb) hot spots?
Lead compliance cut off levels have dropped from 25 ug/l to 10 ug/l and in many lead hot spot areas around the country the challenge of meeting this requirement is once again coming to the forefront as water companies move forward with AMP6.
ePIPE is a DWI Reg 31 and WRAS approved technology.
Utilizing ePIPE, an “in-place” pipelining technology, Pipe Restoration Services (PRS) has developed a wholesome approach to correcting lead leaching be it in a single property or a complete hot spot area.
On site and within the matter of a few hours, lead pipes are isolated, prepared for the patented ePIPE process, lined/protected in-place and reinstated. ePIPE is DWI Reg 31 approved with a 2 hour cure time and return to service, meaning water off down times for you and your customer are kept to a minimum.
ePIPE is a minimally invasive technology with a minimal footprint, as a result traffic flow can be maintained and excavation and disruption is minimized even when the customer side is accessed. On customer side challenges only ePIPE is approved by both DWI and WRAS. Pipes from as small as 10mm ID, can be lined “in-place” from the ferrule to the internal stop tap in a single set up.
