Pipe Restoration Technologies, LLC, makers of the ePIPE® product line, announced today that it's ePIPE FRS fast 2 hour cure lining material has been tested by the South African Bureau of Standards (SABS) and complies fully to the South African Standards for Drinking Water (SANS)
The ePIPE lining material was tested by SABS at it’s Pretoria testing facility, reports Larry Gillanders.
The ePIPE fast return to service lining process and material are developed to provide a protective lining often called a barrier coating to the inside of small diameter pipes that carry drinking water.
“This national approval in South Africa helps solidify the global reputation of our company and our ePIPE brand; our team has once again proven its ability to invent responsive technologies aimed at the pipe rehabilitation industry. Water loss through leaks in supply pipes and the delivery of wholesome water in light of the new World Health Organization (WHO) regulations covering lead leaching were important drivers in developing and expanding this technology,” said Larry Gillanders, CEO, Pipe Restoration Technologies, LLC (PRT).
The patented ePIPE process involves restoring pipes in-place, with an application of an epoxy barrier coating resulting in a restored epoxy lined piping system. The process provides for a solution for pinhole leaks, epoxy lining, corrosion control and prevention of lead leaching from pipes for both commercial and residential piping systems. ePIPE service providers are located in the US, Canada, UK, Mexico, Europe and Russia. ePIPE products are sold under the brand names PurPipe®, Nu Pipe® and ePIPE®.
